Understanding Your Diamond: The 4 Cs
Cut
The cut determines how well a diamond reflects light. A well-cut stone will sparkle brilliantly — regardless of its other qualities.
Colour
Diamond colour is graded from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). The less colour, the rarer and more valuable the stone.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes. Most imperfections are invisible to the naked eye.
Carat
Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. One carat equals 0.2 grams. Larger diamonds are rarer and typically more expensive.
